Privacy and data use
This page explains what personal data MusicMapper collects through the website, why it is collected, and which service providers help us operate the product.
Last updated: March 22, 2026
What we collect
- Name and email address when you request access or contact support
- Basic product and website usage information to help us understand how to improve the product
- Support and feedback messages you choose to send us by email or via Upvoty
Why we collect it
- To send download or access emails
- To respond to support requests and product questions
- To understand usage patterns and improve the MusicMapper experience
- To operate the download flow and keep it secure
How music analysis works
MusicMapper's AI model runs locally on your machine. The product is built so your music analysis does not need to be uploaded to the cloud for the core analysis workflow.
When we share data
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with service providers that help us run the product and support flow.
- Supabase is used to store download-related lead and token data.
- Resend is used to send download and support-related emails.
- PostHog is used for product and website analytics so we can understand usage and improve the product.
- Upvoty may receive the information you submit through the public feedback board.
Provider and security notes
We choose service providers that publish security and privacy documentation for their platforms. For example, PostHog publicly documents EU cloud hosting and privacy controls, Supabase publishes a Data Processing Addendum and region-based project hosting details, and Resend publishes GDPR and security documentation.
